What are our aims?

Our major objective at “Back In Motion” is to identify and treat the cause of pain, not just the symptoms. Through our approach patients will have improved strength and flexibility, better mechanical body function and will be able to get on with leading a full and active life.

Why do I get back pain?

A reduction of movement in the spine can cause the spinal joints to “lock up”. This lack of mobility has the potential to affect the movement of the nerves and tissues around the spine. Our daily activities mostly involve us moving our spines in one main direction, which over time can cause repetitive strains to the muscles and tissues.

What can I expect from ‘Back In Motion’?

A personalised programme to involve manual therapy, posture re-education, core stability and muscular strength will be embarked upon and modified as you progress and improve.
Our long term aim is to help you learn what works for you and your body, and make sure you maintain these changes after your rehabilitation is complete, to ensure you do not have a recurrence of the problem.
